Keep the E46s for as long as you legally can, they won't be able to be replaced. In 2012, I drove my '03 E46 NY-FL and back without issue, and it pulled a respectable 32 mpg at 75 mph. If the E83 gets wrecked in some horrible accident (obviously caused by someone else, the only thing I can't 100% prevent is someone plowing in to me from outside my purview), it will likely be replaced with another E46 for the increase in fuel mileage now that we sold the MK6 to buy a new Pacifica, the E83 is now the commuter for my bi-weekly 200-mile-each-way commutes to work. ![]() I don't get the bank account need? All 3 of my BMWs have been mere fractions of a cent per mile to maintain to factory spec, and that includes what I had in the E21 heap that I pulled out of a 17 year grave in the dirt.
